Founder and President of Centro Studi Bhaktivedanta and of its Academic Department of Traditional Indian Sciences is Matsyavatara das (Marco Ferrini, Ph.D. Hindovedic Psychology, from a non traditional american University and religious College). For almost fourty years, he has been studying and teaching Vedic culture and his research has taken him in numerous study trips in India and long stays in the sacred Hindu sites. He has designed radio programs and appeared in television broadcasts focused on topics of Vedic culture. He is author of several essays and books on ancient Indian Philosophy, Sciences, Arts and Religion.
He gives Lectures, Courses, Conferences and Seminars in Universities and Cultural Institutions, and in Hospitals in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Health and cooperates with scholars and research centres in Italy, United States and India.
Lover of Sanskrit sacred Literature, he has constituted a remarkable indological library, containing the fundamental works of Hindo-vedic culture, in the original language and in accurate translations. American Colleges and Universities have appointed him Lecturer and Director for the Hindo-vedic Psychology and Philosophy Course and he is an authority in Italy and abroad for his knowledge and experience. Thanks to his specialization in the field of Yoga psychology, his work represents an influential contribution to the integration and exchange between the cultures of East and West.
