The Winter Seminar of Centro Studi Bhaktivedanta took place from December 27th to January 4th at Pinarella di Cervia, in a comfortable seaside resort, on the topic: The Origin of Personality Disturbances and their Solutions. The speaker, Marco Ferrini, held morning and afternoon classes for a total of twelve lessons, discussing the 55 sutras of Patanjali’s Sadhana Pada: a perfectly suitable text for the event, in comparison to Bhagavad-gita and other fundamental texts of the Krishna-Bhakti vaishnava culture.

With these words, Marco Ferrini introduced the second part of the seminar on “Mind and Nutrition”, which took place in Ozzano dell’Emilia (Bologna), November 29th and 30th. On Saturday afternoon the main topics focused on the different anthropological levels (kosha) of the human being.

Introduction to CSB Counseling Courses

Saturday and Sunday, October 18th and 19th, at the Bhaktivedanta Foundation in Ponsacco (Pisa), took place the first Seminar of the CSB  Counseling Course, recognized and accredited by FAIP (Psychotherapy Federation of Italian Associations).
Marco Ferrini, Ph. D. Psychology, Founder of CSB,  held the Seminar and developed some fundamental principles in relation to the moral and deontological profession of the Counselor.  His introduction to the course focused on  the following topics: the structure of personality and its main features consisting of  freedom, individual expression, social integration, spiritual tension and the origin of functional disturbances and instruments adopted to solve them.

Death is customarily regarded as a taboo, a forbidden concept, not to be touched, the ending experience of life and of its connected feelings of pleasure.
Quite differently, Bhaktivedantic tradition teaches not to see birth and death as opposite ends of life, rather as an endless, dash-dot curved line, representing the whole of existence; this psychological view of the life cycle offers a significant elaboration of the death event to those who face it, whether directly as a patient, or indirectly having to take care of someone sick.
